Pre-49 Weekend
May 20th – 22nd 2005 at Thorpe Park, Cleethorpes,
North East Lincolnshire.
The site is a pukka holiday camp offering
both caravans for hire together with pitches
for tents and caravans.
On-site attractions include bar, pub, restaurant,
takeaway food, launderette, games room, amusements,
club house with entertainment, heated swimming
pool, tennis courts, fishing, golf course,
horse riding, water sports and a sandy beach.
If that’s not enough then it’s located next
to the pleasure Island Fun Park.
This weekend is not about enjoying what the
site has to offer though. It will be a weekend
of Hot Rod driving and we’re not talking about
a cruise up and down Cleethorpes sea front.
Planned routes will see you all in your Rods
from 10:00am – 5:00pm Saturday and from 10:00am
– 2:00pm Sunday. OK, you won’t be driving
non-stop during those times but you will clock
up a few miles.
There’s no actual entrance fee for this event
but please read the page on accommodation
information to see what the cost will be.
There may be the odd nominal charge at cruise
venues (still being negotiated at this time)
and apart from your accommodation the only
other costs will be food, drink and of course
petrol.
